Will on July 22, be spongy chocolate bleed on white fondant?

by Bobbye
(Dillsburg PA)

I am making a cake and frosting under the white fondant chocolate. want is that possible? what is bleed through?

From the editor:

Hello Bobbye,

Perhaps, but I would recommend rolling the slightly thicker than usual, fondant approximately 1/2 "at least to prevent bleeding through it is concerned."

What is concerned,

Michelle (editor)

July 14, white cake and fondant

by Cherish
(Kapaa, HI)

Well is cover fondant white cake?

From the editor:

It can cover almost any kind of cakes with fondant, including white cake.

The only type of cake that I do not recommend covered with fondant is Angel Food Cake, because it is the structure does not hold under the weight of the fondant.

If you plan to make a white cake multi-tier, be sure to add cake circles and spikes between each level, to support the structure and the weight of the fondant.

What is concerned,
Michelle (editor)
